Important Changes to the Visa Application Process

The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Savannakhet announces that from 4 June 2024 onwards (until further notice), only online visa appointment booking will be accepted (no walk-ins).

Applicants who wish to apply for an appropriate visa at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Savannakhet must make an online reservation for an appointment at https://thaivisasvk.com, which launched on 1 June 2024. The visa processing time will be 2 working days (not including the submission date).

Visa Application Hours: 

• • 09.00 – 11.00 hours, 

• • Monday – Friday (except Thai & Lao official holidays) 

Visa Collection Hours: 

• • 14.00 – 16.00 hours

• • 2 working days after submitting the application

• • e.g., Monday submission, Wednesday collection; Friday submission, Tuesday collection

How to Make an Online Visa Appointment Reservation?

Follow these simple steps to book your online visa appointment at the Royal Thai Consulate in Savannakhet, Laos. We’re here to show you a more well-guided step-by-step procedure, making the process as easy and stress-free as possible.

Step 1: Visiting the Official Website

• • Go to https://thaivisasvk.com and click the Make an Appointment button.

Step 2: Selecting an Available Time Slot

• • In the resource section, click the dropdown button and Select a Resource.

• • Click THAI VISA Savannakhet.

• • Click the calendar icon to choose a date, or use the left/right buttons to navigate.

     

    • • Green slots mean available
    • • Red means unavailable

• • Once you find a time slot highlighted in green, click it to complete your selection.

Step 3: Booking Your Selected Appointment

• • After selecting an appointment, click the Next >> button to proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Fill in the Correct Information

• • Please make sure all the information below is accurate:
    

     

    • • Full Name:

         

        • • Include your first name, middle name (if any), and last name exactly as they appear on your passport.

    • • Passport Number:

         

        • • Must match your current passport (ensure your passport has at least 6 months left before expiry and has free pages for the visa).

    • • Email Address:

         

        • • Provide an active email address.

    • • Passport Issuance and Expiration Dates:

         

        • • Use the format yyyy/mm/dd.

    • • Visa Type:

         

        • • Click the dropdown menu and select the visa you are applying for (e.g., for a Non-B Visa, select Non-Immigrant). For other types of visas, you may visit this website to learn more.

Step 5: Review and Confirm Your Booking Information

• • Review all the information you have entered.

• • Confirm that everything is accurate.

• • Click the Next >> button to confirm your appointment.

Step 6: Take a Screenshot/Print Your Visa Appointment Booking Details

• • A confirmation message with your booking details will appear.

• • The same information will also be sent to your email address.

• • Take a screenshot and/or print your visa appointment booking information.

• • Bring this information with you to the visa section of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Savannakhet during your scheduled appointment.
