As the year winds down, it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on what made the past twelve months memorable. This blog captures the moments that shaped our year—big wins, small victories, surprises, and everything in between. From lively classrooms to camps, trainings, celebrations, and everyday moments, this is where the year comes together.

Rather than a timeline, think of this as a highlight reel of people, places, and experiences that shaped our community. Teachers, students, coordinators, partners, and teams across Thailand all helped make this year dynamic, challenging, and rewarding.
Before stepping into what’s next, let’s revisit the moments, lessons, and connections that carried us forward together as one BFITS family.
January: New Beginnings and Bold First Steps
“It is the month of the inward gaze, of drafting maps through the winter haze. Though the sun is thin and the wind is cold, the seeds of the future take their hold.”
January arrives as the world’s great reset, a crisp and quiet threshold between what was and what is yet to be. Named after Janus, the Roman god of gates and doors, this month carries a dual nature—looking back at the lessons of the past while gazing forward toward new horizons.

This month, BFITS kicks off its first event, an insight into the students’ future careers. As technology continues to reshape our global landscape, the intersection of creativity and career strategy has never been more vital. We invite you to the inaugural session of the BrightMinds Series, “The Future is Yours: Expert Insights on Your Career Journey.” Featuring renowned journalist and visionary Suthichai Yoon, this session offers a rare opportunity to learn how to navigate technological disruption and leverage your unique creativity to build a resilient future.
Innovation was also on full display at the TUPR BFITS Program Open House. The TUPR BFITS Program showcased strong community spirit as teachers and students collaborated to blend creativity with academic excellence.

February: Connection, Reflection, and Renewal
“Beneath the soil, a secret is kept, where the roots of the crocus long have slept. They stir in the dark, sensing the change, though the world above looks frozen and strange. It is the month of the heart, a crimson spark, lighting a candle against the dark.”

February arrives as a gentle transition, bridging winter’s stillness with the first signs of spring. Though the shortest month, it carries quiet persistence and slowly lengthening days. Named after februum, meaning purification, it invites renewal and space for fresh beginnings.

During this month, Giselle Alano, our Assistant Director at BFITS, goes live with an exclusive panel discussion and Q&A featuring top hiring representatives from Preply and BridgeTEFL. Graduation ceremonies and various school activities are also held during this time, with BFITS teachers actively participating across partner schools.
March: Transformation, Training, and New Beginnings
“The equinox arrives to balance the light, claiming the hours back from the night. Daffodils trumpet in coats of bright gold, defying the remnants of frost and the cold. The sap starts to climb like a hidden tide, as the doors of the meadow are flung open wide.”

March arrives as a season of transformation, marking the spirited boundary where winter’s silence meets spring’s vibrant energy. It is a month shaped by movement, from rushing winds to melting ice and life stirring beneath the soil.
This month, we witnessed incredible highlights and achievements across our prestigious partner schools. Schools unveiled their End of Year (EOY) videos—proudly crafted by our dedicated BFITS teachers across all campuses—capturing a year of growth, learning, and shared success within each school community.

March also marked an important moment of growth within the BFITS leadership team. We were proud to officially welcome Rachel Alderson from the SJC BFITS Program as one of our new Program Managers. With her years of experience, steady leadership, and deep passion for education, Rachel has long been a driving force within our schools. Her transition into this role reflects BFITS’ continued commitment to strengthening support for teachers, schools, and students across our programs.

April: Building Confidence Through Training and Connection
“The tulips rise in their painted rows, where the emerald grass of the meadow grows. The air is heavy with the scent of the leaf, a season of joy that is bright and brief. With rainbows arching through sun-shot spray, the world finds a thousand colors to play.”
April emerges as the true heart of spring, a vibrant time of year when the world seems to transform before our very eyes. Known for its unpredictable nature—alternating between soft, cleansing rains and brilliant, sun-drenched afternoons—April coaxes the earth back into full color. Derived from the Latin word Aperire, meaning “to open,” it reflects the season’s spirit of renewal.

This month, BFITS continued Day 2 of the BFITS Welcome Orientation & Training, with Angel and James bringing the classroom to life. Our bright new educators explored classroom management essentials, learned how to make strong first impressions, and discovered how to build an impactful teacher presence from Day 1.
Through fun and insightful roleplay activities, teachers practiced real-life scenarios and embraced the power of confident communication. It was a day filled with learning, laughter, and connection—and the momentum only continued to grow.

As training moved forward, Day 3 introduced one of the most meaningful moments of the onboarding journey: BFITS Voices of Experience. Before officially beginning the day’s sessions, new teachers were welcomed into a space of shared stories and practical wisdom.
Experienced BFITS educators from across disciplines—including English, Math, Science, ICT, and more—joined the training to reflect honestly on their journeys in Thailand. Led by insights from our Academic Manager, Matt Krupa, this session bridged theory with lived experience, allowing new teachers to learn not just how to teach but how to grow, adapt, and thrive within the BFITS community.
Toward the end of the month, April closed with another powerful chapter of professional growth through a three-day BFITS Professional Development Workshop Series, led by the BFITS Thailand academic team alongside invited global education partners.

Day 1 opened with Derek Spafford from Macmillan Education, bringing international perspectives and classroom-ready insights to our teachers. Sean Lee returned to deliver Math-focused professional development, joined by Leon Heavens, who led the BFITS Math workshop, and Elmer de Luna, who guided teachers through ICT sessions designed to strengthen digital confidence in the classroom.
The three-day series closed not as an endpoint, but as a renewed commitment to continuous learning, shared excellence, and collective growth across the BFITS network.
May: New Academic Beginnings and Community Spirit
“The lilac’s perfume wanders through the air, a fragrance that lingers like a silent prayer. Bees hum a hymn in the foxglove’s bell, under the magic of a warm, golden spell. The days out in a leisurely crawl, inviting the sun to touch every wall.”
May arrives as a triumphant celebration of life, marking the moment when spring bursts into full bloom. Often considered the most beautiful month of the year, it is defined by balance—warm but refreshing air, lush landscapes, and a sense of flourishing that mirrors new beginnings across BFITS schools and communities.

This month, BFITS warmly welcomed a new batch of teachers, marking another important milestone as our educator community continued to grow across Thailand. With fresh faces joining returning team members, the focus shifted toward readiness, shared values, and building a strong foundation for the academic year ahead.

As part of this transition, BFITS placed strong emphasis on professional responsibility, care, and safety. Educators took part in an exclusive internal training session led by Trell, BFITS Program Manager, together with Angel Ha, BFITS HR Manager. The session, “Creating a Safe Space: Understanding Sexual Harassment,” focused on recognizing, preventing, and responding to sexual harassment in the workplace.
Through open discussion and guided awareness, the training reinforced BFITS’ commitment to fostering a respectful, supportive, and secure environment for all staff—empowering educators with knowledge that protects both themselves and their colleagues.

Building on this foundation, BFITS continued the month with a Professional Development Workshop Series designed to strengthen both personal resilience and classroom practice. Led by members of the BFITS Program Managers Team and Academic Leadership Team, the sessions offered timely insights that balanced emotional well-being with effective teaching strategies.
One session centered on building emotional resilience, guided by Rachel Alderson, BFITS Program Manager. Together, these moments defined July as a month of active voices, shared ownership, and confident learning. Across subjects and campuses, BFITS classrooms reflected a dynamic culture where students lead, teachers guide, and learning becomes something lived—not just taught.
August: Resilience, Real-World Skills, and Student Confidence
“The sunflowers turn their heavy heads, above the wilting garden beds. The crickets sing a dry, sharp tune, beneath the glow of a copper moon. It is the month of the fading light, where the first cool breath disturbs the night.”
August arrives as the year’s golden afternoon, shaped by intense heat, ripening effort, and a gradual shift toward reflection. Often referred to as the “dog days” of summer, the month carries a quiet resilience—where consistency, perseverance, and purpose matter just as much as visible progress.

At BFITS, learning continued well beyond exams, reminding students that growth does not end with assessment. After a focused exam week, Teacher Michael from the MRB BFITS Program brought the term to a close with games, rewards, and moments of encouragement. The classroom became a space not just for celebration, but for recognizing effort, reinforcing confidence, and reminding students that persistence deserves acknowledgment.

Real-world learning took center stage in the SPR BFITS Program, where Teacher Afton guided students through a creative budgeting project rooted in everyday decision-making. Students explored housing, transportation, food, and entertainment across different income scenarios—using pie charts, maps, and planning tools to understand how financial choices shape daily life.
The project encouraged empathy, critical thinking, and reflection, helping students see how abstract numbers connect to real experiences and social realities.

More than a lesson in language, her presence became a living example of what learning can grow into—leadership, service, and confidence shaped over time. Her journey reminded students and teachers alike that education does not end at the classroom door; it evolves, returns, and gives back.

Community connection extended beyond lessons as well. At the BP BFITS Program, teachers and students marched together during school parades—walking side by side in a celebration of unity, culture, and shared identity. These moments showed that teaching in Thailand is not only about instruction but also about belonging, visibility, and meaningful connection.

As the month progressed, anticipation quietly built toward a defining milestone. After months of celebrating teachers, sharing classroom stories, and highlighting student growth, BFITS stepped onto a global stage of ideas worth spreading. August marked the lead-up—and eventual realization—of TEDx SJC School Bangkok: Young Women Rising, where students from the SJC BFITS Program took the stage for the first time on an international platform. Guided by Rachel Alderson, BFITS Program Manager, the event became a powerful statement of trust in student voice.

With courage, authenticity, and vision, young women shared ideas that reflected both personal truth and collective hope. Their presence embodied what happens when education nurtures confidence, critical thinking, and belief in one’s own voice.

Young Women Rising was not just a theme—it became a promise: that ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, and when given the stage, they have the power to inspire far beyond the room.
Together, August stood as a month of resilience, relevance, and rising voices—where learning connected to life, students stepped forward with confidence, and BFITS reaffirmed its belief in education that prepares learners not just for exams, but for the world ahead.
September: Voice, Vision, and Academic Milestones
“The trees prepare for their scarlet show, as the sun descends with a deeper glow. The harvest moon is a heavy flame, calling the forest by its name. It is the month of the ink and pen, as the world returns to its work again.”
September marks a thoughtful transition—where the high energy of summer gives way to focus, clarity, and purposeful reflection. It is a month shaped by pride in progress, the culmination of academic effort, and the quiet confidence that comes from seeing learning take form.

Using flashcards, question forms, and group activities, students didn’t just prepare for exams—they moved, laughed, and learned together. These moments of active learning helped strengthen grammar skills while building comfort and confidence in communication.

Leadership, too, grounded itself firmly within classrooms during September. Ahead of the upcoming BFITS Welcome Orientation and Training, Angel, BFITS HR Manager, stepped away from her desk and into a kindergarten classroom through the VRU BFITS Program.
Surrounded by songs, colors, and hands-on discovery, she experienced firsthand how young learners thrive through creativity and play. From teaching the letter “R” using rainbow jellyfish to joining classroom movement and music, the experience deepened her connection to the heart of BFITS—our teachers and students. It was a powerful reminder that effective leadership begins with presence, empathy, and understanding.
September also emphasized the importance of preparation and care beyond academics. At the SW BFITS Program, teachers participated in Basic Life Support (CPR) training, strengthening their ability to respond confidently and calmly in critical situations. This initiative reflected BFITS’ holistic approach to supporting educators—not only as teachers, but as trusted adults responsible for student well-being both inside and outside the classroom.
Together, September stood as a month of expression, readiness, and reflection. It highlighted the power of student voice, the value of mentorship, the joy of early learning, and the importance of leadership rooted in care. As the academic chapter drew to a close, BFITS continued to reinforce what matters most: education that builds confidence, prepares individuals for real life, and centers humanity at every level.
October: Renewal, Readiness, and Reconnection
“The pumpkins ripen on the tangled vine, while the stars above with a coldness shine. The scent of the hearth and the drying leaf, a season of beauty, majestic and brief.”
October arrives as the true centerpiece of the academic year—a season defined by momentum, renewal, and purposeful beginnings. As the colors of the year deepen and routines resettle, BFITS entered Term 2 with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of connection.

The month began with the BFITS Welcome Orientation and Training, where new educators officially stepped into their teaching journey in Thailand. As Term 2 approached, teachers prepared to step into classrooms across BFITS Partner Schools throughout Thailand, ready to apply what they had built.
Beyond training, October was also a time of reflection and unity. BFITS joined schools across the country in honoring Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, whose enduring legacy of compassion, cultural preservation, and service continues to guide generations. As educators and learners stood together in remembrance, the values she embodied—education, care, and unity—were echoed deeply within BFITS classrooms and communities.
The month concluded with the return of the Baan Ar Jor Friendship Camp 2025 in Phuket—a powerful reminder that education extends far beyond academics. Supported by the Baan Ar Jor Foundation, Baan Mai Khao School, and community partners, the camp celebrated empathy, connection, and shared humanity.
Once again, BFITS reaffirmed its commitment to building not just programs, but people—grounded in kindness, trust, and lifelong impact.
November: Reflection, Remembrance, and Quiet Strength
“The mist hangs low over fields of brown, while the sun goes early and tiredly down. It is the month of the lantern and tea, of seeking the warmth of the family tree.”

November unfolds as a quieter, more introspective chapter of the year—a month shaped by remembrance, respect, and collective stillness. As the pace softened, BFITS communities across Thailand continued their work through school-based camps and learning activities, maintaining connection even during moments of national reflection.
Across the country, Thailand came together in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. Revered as the “Eternal Queen,” her legacy of compassion, cultural pride, and unwavering devotion to the Thai people remains deeply woven into everyday life. Her influence extends beyond history, living on through traditions, values, and the spirit of care she championed.
Symbols of remembrance filled schools and streets alike. Blue flags, representing the day of her birth, and white jasmine flowers, honoring motherhood and grace, became visible expressions of gratitude and unity. These quiet gestures reflected values that resonate strongly within BFITS classrooms—respect, empathy, and the importance of nurturing others.
November served as a reminder that education is not only about forward motion, but also about pausing to honor what shapes us. In this stillness, BFITS continued to stand as a community grounded in humanity—learning from the past while preparing thoughtfully for what lies ahead.
December: Gratitude, Celebration, and a Steady Path Forward
“The hearth is a beacon of amber and red… it is the month of the longest, soft night.”
December arrives as the year’s closing embrace—a time shaped by gratitude, quiet reflection, and shared celebration. After months of growth, challenge, and connection, the final chapter of the year invited the BFITS community to pause, appreciate, and look ahead with renewed clarity.
As BFITS returned to its social spaces, the tone was calm and purposeful. It was a quiet return—one grounded in reflection and reset. With renewed focus, the community reaffirmed its commitment to guiding, supporting, and growing together as one. This steady rhythm reminded us that progress does not always need to be loud; sometimes, it is found in consistency, care, and intention.

December also reinforced BFITS’ dedication to meaningful partnerships. Visits to CEIT SUT – The Center for Educational Innovation and Technology opened conversations around academic tools, innovation, and how educational systems can continue evolving to better serve students and educators. These exchanges reflected BFITS’ belief that learning remains strongest when institutions collaborate, share insight, and grow together.

As Christmas approached, gratitude became the month’s defining thread. The BFITS Holiday Raffle 2025 and Secret Santa brought the community together in celebration, laughter, and shared appreciation. With more than 300 BFITS employees participating and over 50 prizes awarded, the event reflected far more than festive fun—it reflected unity, recognition, and care. A special congratulations was extended to Teacher Michael from the BP BFITS Program, the grand prize winner, whose joy mirrored the spirit of the season.
What made the celebration more meaningful was not the prizes alone, but the collective energy that filled the space. It was a reminder that BFITS is more than a workplace—it is a connected, supportive community shaped by people who show up every day with purpose.
As the year closed, BFITS extended heartfelt thanks to its teachers, coordinators, assistants, staff, students, and partners across Thailand. Their dedication, resilience, and belief in education are the foundation upon which everything stands.
December did not end the story—it gently turned the page. Grounded in respect and guided by purpose, BFITS moved forward together, committed to a future shaped by learning, service, and shared strength.
Shining Much Brighter as We Step into 2026
“It is a year of standing tall and firm, of lessons learned within a difficult term…”
As 2025 comes to a close, BFITS doesn’t look ahead with empty promises or grand declarations—we move forward with experience, momentum, and trust in what we’ve already built. This year showed us what’s possible when teachers are supported, students are empowered, and communities work together with purpose.
Across classrooms, campuses, and conversations, one thing remained constant: progress came from people. From the small, everyday efforts to the moments that brought entire communities together, BFITS continued to grow in ways that matter—steadily, thoughtfully, and with intention.

As we step into 2026, we do so with clarity and confidence. Our focus remains the same: supporting teachers, strengthening schools, and creating meaningful learning experiences that last well beyond the classroom. The work continues, the journey moves forward, and together, we’re ready for what comes next.
