For many educators, becoming a teacher in Thailand is more than stepping into a classroom. It is about shaping young minds while growing through a new culture, community, and daily experience. Every lesson, smile, and connection can leave a lasting mark.
The Journey to Becoming a Teacher in Thailand

Teaching in Thailand is rewarding, unique, and more than just a job. As a teacher in Thailand, you play a meaningful role in your students’ lives, but choosing the right employer is just as important. Support, training, resources, and guidance can make a big difference in how confidently a teacher begins this new chapter.
Have you been trained properly? Does your employer provide the resources and support you need to excel? Do you have the right tools to become a successful educator? These were some of the questions I asked myself as I started my job search.
As the title states, BFITS is simply the best. In this blog, I will share my experience with the BFITS HR team, from the first interview to the end of training and beyond. Before diving into the classroom experience, I want to reflect on how it all began, with an interview process that set the tone for everything that followed.
A Memorable BFITS Interview Experience

I have clicked on the Google Meet app. I’m dressed for my online interview. I don’t know what to expect, and I’m nervous. I’m greeted by Angel Ha, BFITS HR Manager. Angel’s presence was calm and made me feel at ease immediately. The interview felt more like a conversation. We shared some laughs and more than enough smiles to make me feel as if I were communicating with a best friend.
By the end of the interview, I took about 30 seconds to reflect and realized it was the best job interview I’ve had by far. That is saying something. I’m in my late 30s and started working at 16. I have had many interviews, but this experience will always stand out in my mind. Angel’s professionalism and the warm welcome confirmed that BFITS was the right choice.
After securing the position as an EP Science teacher with BFITS, I had a couple of months before reporting to my exciting new career. Throughout that process, Angel kept me informed every step of the way. She also encouraged me to reach out if I had any questions. She also provided assistance with finding accommodation. I always felt supported and felt unique. Her name is a direct representation of who Angel is 😇
Once I had secured the position, the next step was preparing for the exciting adventure ahead. The training was designed to ensure every teacher felt confident and supported from day one.
BFITS Training: A Warm Welcome to Teaching in Thailand

I was scheduled to report to training on Monday, April 1st, and I was not sure what to expect. As soon as I got off the elevator, I was greeted at the front desk with a welcoming smile and wai from the receptionist. From there, I made my way to the training classroom, where the beautiful 11th-floor view and leather chairs created a professional setting.
It felt like I was an executive reporting to a meeting. Soon, fellow teachers began entering the training room, and we started discussing where we were from and which schools we would be placed in. Connecting with other new BFITS teachers was inspiring, especially because we all shared the same passion for education.
James Tovey, the Training Manager, introduced himself to the class and was dressed professionally. Angel and James warmly welcomed us and presented us with a welcome bag from the BFITS team. The bag had all sorts of goodies, including a BFITS notepad, a pen, and a water bottle that read “Simply the Best.” I wonder how I came up with the title. You will have to find out what else was in the bag.
What stood out during the training period was the balance between professionalism and interactive learning. This approach prepared us for the classroom while also encouraging creativity, collaboration, and confidence as teachers in Thailand.
Interactive and Professional Training for Teachers

James Tovey began his presentation, and I immediately noticed the years of experience under James’ belt. His training fosters open-mindedness and the freedom to express thoughts and views while learning. His presentation is calm and collected.
One aspect of training that James aided me with is ensuring that the feedback I give the students is specific. Not just, “Hey, great job!” If you can give specific feedback, it shows a level of rapport with the students and helps you offer specific praise they will appreciate.
James’ training is refreshing. He creates a fun, interactive classroom while learning from other veteran teachers and incorporating new ideas and perspectives from incoming teachers. He creates a successful teaching environment by introducing tools such as Google Classroom, Google Slides, Google Meet, and other classroom resources. Ultimately, it’s a professional environment that provides support and ongoing learning to foster success in the classroom.
During training, I was also fortunate enough to meet Marc Tubelleja. He presented pertinent information during training in a humorous manner. His laughter is contagious. He also ensures the information is presented accurately and in a presentable manner. For example, he highlights important key points when viewing your emails. Makes it easy on the eyes. From my personal interactions with Marc, I’ve always found him to have a positive mindset.
As I reflect on my journey with BFITS, it is clear that their support system plays a significant role in helping every teacher in Thailand succeed. From the first interview to ongoing professional development, the BFITS difference is evident.
The BFITS Difference: A Supportive Teaching Experience

I wish the blog did not have to end. We were having so much fun. My conclusion is that the BFITS HR Department and BFITS go above and beyond to ensure every teacher in Thailand feels supported and prepared for success. That support leads to success in the classroom and, eventually, the world.
BFITS’s experience and dedication help create a positive and caring atmosphere. They are with you every step of the way. BFITS is “Simply the Best.” Their professionalism and commitment are evident in every interaction.
If you don’t believe me, why don’t you find out for yourself? Whether you want to teach English and live in Thailand, teach in Thailand’s diverse classrooms, or become part of a supportive team of educators, BFITS stands out as a trusted choice.
