The path to teaching in Thailand is one filled with excitement, discovery, and moments of profound impact. It’s a journey where educators shape futures and grow alongside their students.
The Journey to Becoming a Teacher in Thailand

Becoming a teacher in Thailand is an experience in itself. It’s rewarding and unique, and it’s more than a job. Ultimately, you are shaping the world and the minds of our future. What’s equally as important is who your employer is.
Have you been trained properly? Do they provide resources and support for you to excel? Do you have the necessary tools to be a successful educator? etc.… These are questions I asked myself as I started my job search. As the title states, BFITS is simply the best. I will outline my experience with the BFITS HR team from the first interview to the end of training and more.
Before diving into my teaching experience, I want to reflect on how it all began. The journey started with an interview process that set the tone for everything that followed.
A Memorable BFITS Interview Experience

I have clicked on the Google Meet app. I’m dressed for my online interview. I don’t know what to expect, and I’m nervous. I’m greeted by Angel Ha, BFITS HR Manager. Angel’s presence was a calm demeanor and made me feel at ease immediately. The interview felt more like a conversation. We shared some laughs and more than enough smiles to feel as if I was communicating with a best friend.
By the end of the interview, I took about 30 seconds to reflect and thought to myself that it was the best job interview I’ve had by far. That is saying something. I’m in my late 30s and started working at the age of 16. I have had many interviews, but this experience will always stand out in my mind. The professionalism that Angel displayed and the warm welcome confirmed that BFITS was the right choice.
After securing the position as an EP Science teacher with BFITS, I had a couple of months before reporting to my exciting new career. Throughout that process, Angel kept me informed every step of the way. She also encouraged me to reach out if I had any questions. She also provided assistance in searching for accommodation. I always felt supported and felt unique. Her name is a direct representation of who Angel is 😇
Once I had secured the position, the next step was preparing for the exciting adventure ahead. The training was designed to ensure every teacher felt confident and supported from day one.
BFITS Training: A Warm Welcome to Teaching in Thailand

I report to training on a Monday (April 1st) and am not sure what to expect. I get off the elevator and am greeted at the front desk with a welcoming smile and wai from the receptionist. I report to the training classroom, and it’s a beautiful view of the 11th floor with leather chairs.
I feel like an executive reporting to a meeting. Fellow teachers begin entering the training room as we discuss where we’re from and which schools we are being placed at. It was inspiring to connect with other teachers in Thailand, all sharing the same passion for education.
James Tovey, the Training Manager, presents himself to the class and is dressed professionally. Angel and James have a very warm welcome, presenting us with a welcoming bag from the BFITS team. The welcoming bag has all sorts of goodies: a notepad from BFITS, a pen, and a water bottle that reads “Simply the Best.” I wonder how I thought of the title. You will have to find out what else is in the bag.
What stood out during the training period was the balance between professionalism and interactive learning. This approach not only prepared us for the classroom but also inspired creativity and collaboration.
Interactive and Professional Training for Teachers

James Tovey began his presentation, and I immediately noticed the years of experience under James’ belt. His training allows for open-mindedness and the freedom to express your thoughts and views while learning. His presentation is calm and collected.
One aspect of training that James aided me with is ensuring that the feedback I give the students is specific. Not just, “Hey, great job!” If you can give specific feedback, it displays a level of rapport with the students and also helps in giving specific praise that the students will appreciate.
James’ training is refreshing. He creates a fun, interactive classroom while learning from other veteran teachers and incorporating new ideas and perspectives from incoming teachers. He creates a successful teaching environment by introducing tools like Google Classroom, Google Slides, Google Meet, and other aspects of teaching within the classroom. Ultimately, it’s a professional environment that provides support and continued learning to bring success within the classroom.
As I reflect on my journey with BFITS, it’s clear that their support system plays a significant role in the success of their teachers. From the first interview to ongoing professional development, the BFITS difference is evident.
The BFITS Difference: A Supportive Teaching Experience

I wish the blog did not have to end. We were having so much fun. My conclusion is that BFITS HR Department and BFITS go above and beyond to ensure your success. Our success will lead to success in the classroom and, eventually, the world.
BFITS’s experience and dedication to strive to create a positive atmosphere that is caring. They are with you every step of the way. BFITS is “Simply the Best.” Their professionalism and commitment are recognized in every aspect of interaction.
If you don’t believe me, why don’t you find out for yourself? Whether you want to teach English and live in Thailand, teach in Thailand’s diverse classrooms, or simply be part of a supportive team of teachers in Thailand, BFITS stands out as a trusted choice.
